Lesley M. Jones:
Lesley became a member of Hour Exchange Portland in 1999 after hearing about this wonderful program from a friend. In 2005, she was hired as Membership Director for Time Banks USA, the national office in Washington, DC. In this position, she worked with Dr. Edgar Cahn, the founder of Time Banking in the US. She worked for TBUSA for 18 months helping other communities start a Time Bank of their own. In early August of 2006, Lesley joined the regional division of the Maine Time Banks, as their Program Director. Working at MTB, now called Hour Exchange Portland , provides Lesley an opportunity to work in and make a difference in her local community and to further the mission of Time Banking nationally and globally. She is currently the Creative Director. She manages the AmeriCorps*VISTA Volunteer Program for the Atlantic cluster, which places A*VISTA members throughout the US. She curates the TIME Gallery, a micro-enterprise supporting Hour Exchange Portland operations while providing a creative outlet for Time Bank members. Lesley produces Banking Time for Changing Times, a Time Bank television program; and is the media contact for the PTB. ![]()
